Green Mining Strategy Selection via an Integrated SWOT-PEST Analysis and Fuzzy AHP-MARCOS Approach

Deciding on an appropriate development strategy is one of the most crucial aspects mining industry’s green transition. This research introduces a novel integrated decision support model that can be applied to analyze various environmental factors and determine strategies. In this study, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats (SWOT) analysis employed from multiple perspectives, including political, economic, social, technological (PEST), assess internal external influence mining. The fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) used factor weights quantitatively, Measurement Alternatives Ranking according Compromise Solution (MARCOS) method rank select According results, “grasp trend improve protection exploitation level mineral resources” found final optimal strategy. Comparative sensitivity confirmed accuracy case study results.
